In this video you will find an overview of various TowFLEXX products in operation with a wide variety of airplanes and helicopters. A wonderful insight into our daily work and also a good overview of what TowFLEXX actually does.

The following videos cover units from the TF1 and TF2 series – TowFLEXX’s smallest tugs. With a maximum capacity of 2,000kg (TF1) and 4,000kg (TF2), these units are ideally suited for small aircraft such as Cessna C172, up to Piper Meridian. The applications are huge and there are suitable nose wheel adapters for almost all aircraft in this weight class. The special configuration TF2.2 is specifically designed for Robinson helicopters.

The TowFLEXX TF3 is currently the smallest remote controlled model in our portfolio. With a maximum towing capacity of 9,000kg MTOW, this unit is ideal for aircraft such as Pilatus PC12, Beechcraft King Air or smaller Citation jets. There are different mounts that can be adapted for different wheel sizes. The aircraft is picked up via a mechanical ramp, which first has to be lowered. The TF3 can then be easily positioned in front of the nose wheel and pick it up with a simple forward motion. The capturing process only takes a few seconds for experienced users. The mechanical 360° mount also ensures that the nose wheel always remains aligned in the direction of travel.

The TowFLEXX TF4 can be seen in the following videos, with a towing capacity of up to 14,000kg take-off weight. Perfect for aircraft like Pilatus PC24, Citation XLS and comparable. Semi-automatic capturing system allows control via the radio remote control, simply by pressing a button. Unlike the TF3, the mount can be adjusted to accommodate different wheel sizes, allowing different types of aircraft to be towed in daily operations. The 360° capturing system also enables maneuvering in tight spaces, allowing maximum use of available hangar space by parking aircraft right up against the wall – allowing MROs to work on more aircraft at the same time, or hangar operators to rent out more parking spaces.

The TowFLEXX TF5 is currently the most versatile tug in the portfolio. The motorized 360° turntable allows full control of the nose wheel and thus ensures maximum safety. The adjustable nose wheel mount allows a wide range of aircraft to be maneuvered with the TF5 – from the small Cessna C172 to the Bombardier Global 7500, everything is possible. Unique advantages that have also been recognized by the military (for example, the US Air Force and the Armasuisse), who use the tugs for various fighter jets worldwide. Top-name aircraft manufacturers such as Bombardier also use this equipment in their production facilities in Canada.

The TowFLEXX HD190 was developed as a special request from the US Air Force and is capable of towing aircraft up to 86,000kg MTOW. The requirements were high: a compact, remote-controlled towing solution that could maneuver a C130 / KC135, but also fit on a standard 463L pallet so that the tug can be taken into the field in the cargo hold. We have taken all these features into the HD190 and they have been very well received since the first delivery. Of course, the tug is not limited to these two models, but can accommodate any aircraft of this weight class ( as long as the nose wheel fits into the mount), with its flexible moving floor on the fully automatic nose wheel mount.

For several years, we have been able to count various militaries around the world among our biggest customers. On the one hand, everyone was looking for an emission-free towing solution, but on the other hand, more flexibility was required. Where previously 9 people were needed to get an F16 out of the hangar, this job is now possible with only 3. In addition, the search for one of the large diesel tractors is now eliminated, as 2-4 jets are directly assigned a TowFLEXX. Even in a direct comparison with a conventional tow vehicle, TowFLEXX excelled and beat it by a long way in terms of time.
