First request by the military

The first request for an electric and radio remote control solution for fighter jets was received from the Swiss military – Armasuisse – many years ago. A compact, all-electric towing solution for F18 jets was sought. This did not exist at the time of the inquiry, but was subsequently jointly developed, which was the basis for the design of the TowFLEXX TF5, which in the current MilSpec version is used for a variety of aircraft in the military. These include: A10, F15, F16, F18, F22, F35, T1, T38, U2, G3, KC-135, C-130, MQ9 Reaper and more.

MilSpec for the Military

Almost all models are now available as a MilSpec (Military Specification) version. Those differ in several aspects from the commercial configurations, have more safety features in the standard configuration, a more robust military-look color coating, extended spare parts availability, and much more. The current status of all MilSpec equipment has been developed in conjunction with the United States Air Force (USAF) to serve the intense demands and various application areas.
